My professor told me to "Think of a concept" and I do not often do that. I was coming out of the phase where I would paint small 5"x7" paintings of either me or still life...four a week or so. She tells me to do something big...and this is what I came up with. Not only can I not remember the concept, but I remember specifically not really enjoying the concept that I came up with. But this is what it was. Abbey thought the mosquito was funny...because I found a mosquito and held it up for a while to figure out what a mosquito really looked like...and there was a consensus among most of my professors that they wished to see a little more light in them...however, this was the start of something new.
